B Corp Certified
The B Corp Certification signifies that AeroFarms meets the high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials. To maintain certification, AeroFarms must:

- Demonstrate high social and environmental performance by achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 80 or above and passing B Corp’s risk review.
- Make a legal commitment by changing our corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and achieve benefit corporation status if available in our jurisdiction.
- Exhibit transparency by allowing information about our performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available on our B Corp profile on B Lab’s website.
CEA Food Safety Certified
The CEA Food Safety certification addresses the unique attributes of CEA-grown produce. AeroFarms opt-ins to the auditing process to verify that our produce meets the new food safety module requirements. The new food safety standard is measured against science-based criteria, and it will serve as an additional certification on top of compliance with an underlying Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized food safety standard, tailored to CEA growers’ specific needs.
The CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture) Food Safety certification addresses the unique attributes of indoor grown produce with a rigorous auditing process to verify that our produce meets this food safety module requirements with science-based criteria. Developed by the CEA Alliance (an industry association of indoor growers that AeroFarms helped form), this CEA Food Safety certification is an additional verification on top of compliance with the widely-recognized Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), helping provide even greater assurance in our food safety practices.
Non-GMO Verified
The Non-GMO Verified symbol means AeroFarms’ produce is produced without genetic engineering and its ingredients are not derived from GMOs. Additionally, this means that our produce is compliant with the Non-GMO Project Standard, which includes stringent provisions for testing, traceability, and segregation. Only Non-GMO Project Verified products are allowed to use the verification mark.
OU Kosher
Kosher Certification is the stamp of kosher approval by a rabbinic Agency verifying they have checked that AeroFarms’ products' ingredients, production facility, and actual production to ensure all ingredients, derivatives, tools, and machinery have no trace of non-kosher substances. The Kosher Certified symbol assures consumers that both AeroFarms’ actual product and its production adhere to all Kosher Law requirements.
Safe Quality Food (SQF) Certified
The Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program is a rigorous and credible food safety and quality program that is recognized by retailers, brand owners, and food service providers world-wide. Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the SQF family of food safety and quality codes are designed to meet industry, customer, and regulatory requirements for all sectors of the food supply chain. The SQF Program ensures that AeroFarms’ produce is produced, prepared, and handled according to the most recognized standards and demonstrates a commitment to quality processes and continual improvement.
USDA GAP Certified
Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) audits are voluntary audits that verify that AeroFarms’ produce is produced, packed, handled, and stored to minimize risks of microbial food safety hazards. GAP audits verify adherence to the recommendations made in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Guide to Minimize Microbial Food Safety Hazards for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables and industry recognized food safety practices. The program does not guarantee the product is free from microbial contamination but verifies that AeroFarms is taking proactive measures to reduce the risk of contamination by adhering to generally recognized industry best practices.
